Overview

This guide walks you through your first steps in FeedForward: accepting your course invitation, creating your account, and navigating the platform. By the end, you'll be ready to submit your first assignment draft.

Receiving Your Invitation

The Invitation Email

Your instructor will send you an invitation email that looks like this:

Password Requirements

Create a strong password that meets these criteria:

  • βœ… At least 12 characters long
  • βœ… Contains uppercase letters (A-Z)
  • βœ… Contains lowercase letters (a-z)
  • βœ… Contains numbers (0-9)
  • βœ… Contains special characters (!@#$%^&*)
  • ❌ Not a common password
  • ❌ Not your name or email
**Good Password Example**: `Autumn2024!Learn&Grow`

- Use a passphrase with multiple words
- Include numbers and symbols
- Make it memorable but unique
- Consider using a password manager

Terms and Privacy

Before creating your account, you must accept:

  1. Terms of Service - Rules for using the platform - Academic integrity requirements - Acceptable use policies

  2. Privacy Policy - How your data is handled - Your rights regarding your work - Data retention policies

Joining Your Course

Automatic Enrollment

After creating your account:

  1. Automatic Course Addition - You're immediately enrolled - See confirmation message - Redirected to course page

  2. Confirmation Screen:

Accessing FeedForward

After account creation:

Common issues and solutions:

Forgot Password? 1. Click "Forgot Password" link 2. Enter your email address 3. Check email for reset link 4. Create new password

Account Locked? - Too many failed attempts (5) - Wait 30 minutes or contact support - Check CAPS LOCK key
